Learning illustrator

I tested out on using a variety of fonts and styles to create a masthead for my magazine on Adobe Illustrator. Here are the different fonts and styles I came up with.

What I have learnt:
- To create text, I must press the letter 'T' allocated on the toolbar to the left.

- I can create many different masthead designs using various fonts - this gives me even more options to how I can design a unique masthead.

- I can make the fonts look even more bold using the stroke tool allocated on the toolbar to the right.

- I can give my text a 'border' look by selecting gradient tool - again allocated on the toolbar to the right and selecting 2 different colours / shades or tints of the same colour to give it a good effect.

- How to enlarge certain letters using the transform tool.

  1. Thomas, your blog has some lovely detail, particularly the magazine analysis and case studies. You must post regularly, which you are mostly doing, anything new in lessons, planning and progress - show your journey throughout. There is a little room for more detail, for example where you blog about illustrator comment on what you did and what you may do with it. Also your presentation is here, but what about masthead designs and house styles and feedback on this work? Overall looking good, keep working hard and with detail..

  2. Also it would be a good idea to put your tasks in order, use the brief and go into posts to do this as I showed you. Finally you need to upload your schedule for the project.
